Children's parties are to be held upstairs in the Upper hall. Please check the accessibility of the area as it may be unsuitable for people with mobility problems.
This beautiful, spacious, area can accommodate up to 200 people and is ideal for conferences, with areas at the sides for discussion groups and a dais for presentations. Combined with the Meeting Place level access is provided along with a place for refreshments and adjacent toilet facilities.
The Nave can be also accessed up steps through the side porch which has limited toilet facilities.
The public address system is available and will soon include a loop for the hearing impaired.
Please note that the Nave isn't suitable for late night or large parties
The meeting place
This cosy room is deceptively spacious, seating up to 50 people. The room has level access from the street and with an adjacent disabled toilet (with baby change) it is ideal for the less mobile. Full toilet facilities are also available. The fitted kitchen provides easy serving of refreshments through the hatch.
The old vestry
A bright and inviting room which will accommodate up to about 25 people. It has separate access, facilities for making drinks, and a toilet nearby.
This room has to be accessed up a few stone steps.
The upper hall
This spacious room which can be accessed by stairs or a platform lift will accommodate up to 60 people. The east window gives a stunning view over the Nave and the hall has a kitchenette for making drinks.
The scout hall (Welby place, Norton lees)
The Scout Hall which situated in its own grounds at the top of Welby Place in Norton Lees is spacious and is equipped with a good wooden floor. There are toilets and a kitchen for making drinks. The hall now has a quiet efficient heating system and is used by groups most weekday evenings.
The Hall is available for daytime and weekend booking.
Parking and storage space are limited and at present the hall is accessed up a few small steps.
